As obvious as it is, that big defenseless monster is called the Floating Tides.
It floates by following the wind currents, also the little fella has been hibernating for many centuries now.
It also absorbes water and moisture, but since its body's asleep, it disposes of it through the pores.
There's also people living in its back otl.
